     The purpose of the "School Bus Safety Assurance Program" initiated in May 1995, is to inform school transportation personnel and others about current safety recalls involving school buses. The School Bus Recall Listing provides all school bus-related safety recall campaigns initiated by school bus manufacturers for the past five years and is updated each May. A special section is included on the "School Bus Handrail Program" with a handrail recall listing.
