    Features a find-a-therapist referral directory of AAMFT members that allows a search by name, city and distance from zip code; a families and health section with articles on numerous family related topics; and a compilation of resources for practitioners, with conferences, products and training opportunities.

American Counseling Association

    Includes an 800 number to help find a therapist, links to branches through the United States and 17 divisions within the ACA, as well as a database of parenting education materials available from the ACA on-line store.

American Psychiatric Association

    Contains a legislative section, a media alert, an AIDS resource center, and many other valuable features. The APA fastFAX on-line catalog of documents includes APA fact sheets and other information for the public.

American Psychological Association

    A searchable site with information on publications and other products as well as APA programs. An animated KidsPsych section contains books for kids by age group that discuss difficult situations such as physical disabilities, death, depression and self-esteem.

American Society of Addiction Medicine

    This site gathers the latest articles on addiction medicine and includes abstracts of articles from the latest Journal of Addictive Diseases. It also includes articles on current topics in addiction treatment such as the role of managed care, and legislative/regulatory news.

Clinical Social Work Federation

    This web site is maintained for clinical social worker members and others interested in CSWF's services that include mailing lists, liability insurance coverage, conference and workshop information, legislative alert, and a directory of schools of social work.

The Council for Exceptional Children

    Contains information on CEC training programs, professional standards and accreditation, publications, and public policy and legislation relating to exceptional children and special education

National Association for School Psychologists

    NASP promotes educationally and psychologically healthy environments for children and youth through its publications, its convention and advocacy activities that are highlighted on this web site.     The Head Start Program Performance Standards are the mandatory regulations that grantees and delegate agencies must implement in order to operate a Head Start program. The standards define the objectives and features of a quality Head Start program in concrete terms; they articulate a vision of service delivery to young children and families; and they provide a regulatory structure for the monitoring and enforcement of quality standards.
