The privacy policy for the Head Start Information and Publication Center web site is clear:

We collect no information about you, other than information automatically collected and stored (see below), when you visit our Web site unless you choose to provide that information to us. You do not have to give us personal information to visit the HSIPC web site.

We automatically collect and temporarily store the following information for statistical purposes and to help make the Head Start Information and Publication Center site more useful to visitors:

the name of the domain you use to access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are using an American On-line account)

the date and time of your visit;

the pages you visited; and

the address of the web site you came from when you came to visit.

If you choose to provide us with additional information about yourself through an e-mail message, form, etc., HSIPC will maintain the information only as long as needed to respond to your question or to fulfill the stated purpose of the communication e.g. for you to receive alerts when new Information Memorandums, Program Instructions, pertinent Federal Register notices, etc. are published.

"Persistent" web cookies are not used on the HSIPC web site. "Persistent" web cookies are defined as web cookies that can track the activities of users over time and across different web sites.

HSIPC does not disclose, give, sell or transfer any personal information about our visitors, unless required for law enforcement by statute.
